The Peak District National Park has an information hunt with links to various other websites. Fieldwork in Kent has virtual explorations of different nature reserve environments around Canterbury. Coastal erosion has some good information aimed at older children. Towns of Britain has links to the official websites of many UK towns and cities. Other countries: Countries has information on almost all world countries. Maps is a collection of GIFs of maps and flags. Kenya studies has in-depth information on different aspects of the country. Life in the Sudan is part of the Oxfam site. Explore Argentina is another country site giving much information. World Oceans is a US site with some good information. Adventures in South America is a very good travel website with various photos. The Environment: Water science Global warming Rainforests Weather: Clouds_R_Us has information and activities aimed at children. Mawson Station, Antarctica has live weather readings and a site camera. The Met. Office Home Page has good links to world weather sites as well as UK weather data. The Umass Lowell Weather Links Directory is a very good site with links to live world weather data and satellite photos. Live Weather Cameras has links to live weather cameras around the world. Other resources: Lonely Planet is a large world travel guide linked to the book series. It has some very good sections, and travellers can also add their own comments and advice. National Geographic Xpeditions has a number of virtual expeditions. Volcano World has details of all aspects of volcanic activity.
