The Reception Class: Children's ideas about God

The Reception class children began thinking about God after reading the Easter story. These are some of their thoughts, when asked about who they thought God was.   The one who makes everybody. Ryan   I think He is helping you. Chelsea   He's a special person because He's up in the sky. Claire   God is the son of Jesus. He makes things like animals, trees and houses and mummies and all sorts of different things. Nadine   A man! Oliver   Jesus' son. He sits up in heaven. He's looking after the world. Jamie   God is up in the sky. He watches everyone. God makes everyone, with a machine. Eddie   He looks after Jesus. He makes sure Jesus won't get hurt. Carl   He's a normal person. He makes everyone come to life and He brings them up to heaven if they are dead. He does really nice things and brings things for everyone. He makes everyone share. Conor
