Deanesfield Primary School began life as Victoria Park J.M.I. School in January 1944, during World War 2. The school suffered many air raid alerts as it is close to RAF Northolt, which was an important fighter base in the defence of London during the war. The name of the school was changed to Deanesfield J.M.I. School on March 16th, 1945 after Mr Deane, a prominent local land owner. Schools had to keep an official logbook of events in the school life. There were also other documents, such as the Punishment Book, that had to be kept. Here are extracts from such documents early in the school's history. | |
