Year 6 Newspaper When we were young...   Once in the nursery I got stuck in the toilet because the door would not open. Stavros   I remember in the nursery I used to think that the hamsters and rabbits used to bite, so I had never touched them. After a few weeks it was my turn to play outside with the hamsters and the rabbits but I was scared. When the teacher put the rabbit in my hands it felt all right and from then onwards I kept playing with them. In the infants we had to taste some hot cross buns. They were all shiny and I thought they were plastic so I didn't eat them. Nishma   I remember when we used to get stickers for good work. I decided to put my sticker on my book. The next day when I tried to get it off,the front of the book ripped. I put the sticker back on the book, trying to cover up the rip, but the teacher still found out. Helen   I remember when we were doing some foot painting in the nursery. We had to stand in coloured paint and walk all over a piece of paper. But when it was my turn I wanted to go to the toilet. So with paint on my feet, I walked over to the toilet leaving a long line of green footprints behind me. Zoe   One day me and my friends were kicking our shoes against the huge gates in the playground which we used for a fire exit. I kicked my shoe and it went flying over the gate and I had to go round the playground with one shoe on. In year two I kicked my shoe at the wall and it hit the thing that said, "FIRE SMASH GLASS." It smashed the glass and the alarm went off. Caroline   In the infants I was told to put paint on my hands so I did. My head was itchy so I scratched my head. I had bright green paint in my hair for the rest of the day. James   I remember in the juniors when Paul kept on posting Christmas Cards to himself. Richard   When I was going to the toilet I saw Mrs Sullivan so I walked backwards and I bumped into the door. Mrs Sullivan laughed. I was in the nursery and I was playing in the house. I put on a gold dress. When I had to take it off I couldn't because the zip was stuck. I had to wait till lunch to get it off. Luzie   When Jason and I were in the nursery we were hiding in the climbing frame. It started to rain and Mrs Bird told everyone to get in, but we hid in the climbing frame. Mrs Bird lent over the climbing frame and shouted BOO! Lee   I remember in the nursery when my friends and I were playing doctors and I was the patient. I hid under the covers on the bed and Stacey didn't know that I was on the bed. She jumped onto my stomach. Corinne
