Hannah Theatre The School Production of The Mikado, July 1997 I was in the Mikado and where I was sitting I had a good view. And in the beginning it was boring but half way through it was getting good. It was hot in the hall. I like it when the sailors were dancing and I was sitting in the front of the row and I was waving a flag. We were singing some songs and the year year five and six had to wear some costumes, but year three and four did not have costumes. Thomas had a speaking part and Paul had a part and Rosie had a singing part. Andrew Films Men in Black (Certificate PG) M.I.B is Men in Black. It is a film. It is about aliens and a group of people. I like the part where there is an alien and someone kills him and blue goo comes out of him. There is also the part where here are four aliens making a cup of tea. They spill it everywhere. There are lots of different aliens. They look really funny. Two of the main characters are Mr Jones and Mr Smith. I think this film is good for children between 9-15. I think this is a cool film. Stacey The Saint (certificate 12) This film was a sixties TV series. Now it is a film on video starring Val Kilmer playing as Simon Templar. The other main character is Elizabeth Shue who is a scientist. His mission is to steal lifework from the scientist but things don't quite go according to plan. This is an exciting film and is full of action. I recommend this film and I think that people should buy it. I give this film 9/10. Fever Pitch (certificate 15) This is a romantic comedy about a teacher, played by actress Ruth Gemmel. This film is about growing up and you don't have to like football to like this film. This film is very funny but is not one of the best videos. I would rent this film and I would give it 7/10. Mission Impossible (certificate PG) This film is a bit of a detective film because everyone dies apart from Tom Cruise. Someone is on the top of the lift and two people get in the lift. They press the up button and claws at the top of the tunnel, and prong out and kill him. At the same time someone sprays a yellow paint on a bodies hair and Tom Cruise seeks him out and he nearly dies. I rate this film 10/10. Jerry Maguire (certificate 15) Jerry Maguire is about a sports manager for kids. But when they grow he cannot manage all of them. I recommend this video because it is brilliant. The main character is Tom Cruise who plays Jerry Maguire. I think people should buy this video. I give this film 6/10. Ed (certificate PG) Ed is an Ape who likes to play baseball. He comes to the Rocket baseball team to be a mascot but he ends up playing baseball. I recommend this video because it is a marvellous Comedy. I give this film 9/10. Television The Simpsons There are lots of good programmes on TV. I like the Simpsons because I like animated characters. My favourite is Side Show Bob. It is on Channel 8 on cable on Sky 1. It's on every day except for Saturday. There are two episodes on Sunday and I enjoy it a lot. I watch it every time it's on. It is about a family who live in Springfield in America. They're all yellow skinned. The Simpson family have some strange names like Bart, Lisa, Maggie, Homer, Marge, and a dog called Santa's Little Helper. They also have a cat called Snowball. The Grandfather's name is Abraham. Luzie Books Danny The Champion Danny the Champion is a really good also exciting book. It is about a boy called Danny who is five years old. But when he was a baby his mum died and his father was left to look after him. Danny's father is a mechanic and owns a filling station. Danny and his father live in an old small Gipsy caravan. Behind the caravan they own a field as well. Nearly every evening they both go poaching. Danny is also a very good mechanic and often helps in the filling station. They both are quite poor but they both liked living in the Gypsy caravan. Danny is not naughty and his father always walks him to school. I think people should read this book because it's one of the best books I have read. Kirsty Bel Mooney's Books If you read some of Bel Mooney's books you will love them. All of the books are about Kitty and her family. On one book called Why Not! is about when Kitty always used to say she did not want to do this or that. Then there was a she wanted to do things but the grown ups would not let her. Instead of "I don't want to" she found herself asking, "WHY NOT?" But the reply she got was "Because I said so!" But Kitty finds her way round every obstacle - especially when she goes on holiday and wants to go trick or treating. If you read this story you will find out all the naughty things she did. Hannah Computer Games Crop Crop is good but it's not worth buying. Ok it's has some good graphics and ideas but it's not as good as it looks. Stavros Cool Boarders This is excellent because you can choose your board, and your clothes, even whether you're male or female. You can also do stunts. It's really worth buying. Stavros Super Mario 3 This is an excellent game. It is exciting because you don't know what's going to happen next. There are 8 worlds and 8 levels in each world. On the last level in each world you have to kill a boss. On the last world it gets very hard. On the last world, last level there is the hardest boss to kill I've ever seen. The first few worlds are easy. This game is for children from age 6 and over, otherwise it gets too complicated. James Command and Conquer for ages 10 and up Command and Conquer is about a war. It is all in levels and it needs thinking and concentration. You have to move the people and wherever you are they follow you. It starts off dark and wherever you go it becomes light. Oussama |
