Year 6 Newspaper Activities: Collecting Poke'mon and Digimon Cards   Poke'mon Trading Cards You can collect Poke'mon cards. There are lots of kinds of Poke'mon. The most popular kind is trading cards. You can collect jungle, fossil and base. You can get them at the local newsagent. You can also buy them at boot sales and you can buy them in packs of 11 and packs of 60. A pack of 11 will cost you £2.50 and a pack of 60 is £7.99, this is if you get them in shops. At boots sales they are normally cheaper. The aim is to collect all 258 types, the 7 energy cards and the 32 trainer cards. There are 64 Jungles, 62 Fossil and 95 Base and all the other sets. They are very popular and at the moment, and lots of people collect them though some people say they are to extra expensive. You can have your own thoughts about Poke'mon.   Following the Base and the Base 2, Jungle, Fossil and Promo sets, Wizards of the Coast (Poke'mon card makers) have introduced the Team Rocket Poke'mon cards set. Most Poke'mon have been included, but some have been left out. The Poke'mon that other Poke'mon evolve into, such as Blastoise, are known as Dark Cards. There are only 82 cards in the Team Rocket set. One booster pack costs £4.99 and theme decks cost £12.99.   Digimon Cards Top good Digimon: 5. Frigimon 4. Greymon 3. Skullgreymon 2. Metalgreymon 1. Angelmon Digimon cards - are they the top or bottom of the best trading cards list? We asked our class. Our results were 2 rubbish, 4 okays and 3 wickeds. So overall we found out that most people think that Digimon cards are okay but when Poke'mon goes out of fashion Digimon cards will probably come into fashion.   The Story So far.... After going to camp for the summer Tai, Matt, TK, Izzy, Soara, Joe and Mimi are transported to the Digiworld. They walk around and find 7 Digimon. They also find these round metal objects called digivices which make the Digimon get bigger and change their appearance. They then found a bad Digimon called Devimon, and he split them up and put them on all different island. They all got back together and beat Devimon by one of the Digimon, Patomon making himself bigger and turning into Angelmon. After a few more battles with bad Digimon they meet another really bad Digimon called Etemon. He has lots of black cables dotted around the Digiworld. After a few battles the gang find out that they can get crests that can make their Digimon get even bigger and stronger. They find these crests just in time because Etemon got bigger and stronger. Augumon, one of the Digimon, used his crest and made himself really big and turned into Metalgreymon and defeated Etemon. But as Etemon disappeared Tai and Augumon were sucked into a time warp and ended up back in the real world .But they found out that whatever happened in the Digiworld affected the real world too. So Tai and Augumon went back to the Digiworld but became lost. They wandered around for a while until they came to Patomon. They walked around again and found TK with a new friend called Demidevimon. It was not a good friend and tried to feed him mushrooms of forgetfulness. But Augumon found out and They got rid of Demidevimon.   Top 5 Bad Digimon: 5. Demidevimon 4. Ogremon 3. Seadramon 2. Etemon 1. Devimon   When Digimon first came out everybody thought that it was rubbish, but if Digimon had come out before Pokemon would people still have had the same attitude towards it. Now people are beginning to like it so we found our class favourite Digimon.   Metal Greymon 3 Garurumon 1 Augumon 2 Etemon 1 Devimon 3
