| Good Old Sports Day On Wednesday morning it was bright and sunny. The infants got ready for their Sports Day. In the afternoon it poured down with rain so the Juniors sat in their little shorts and got excited and the Mums, Dads and Nans waited in the hall for half an hour. Nathan came round and told us that Sports Day had been cancelled so we got dressed and went back to the classroom. On Thursday we waited and it rained cats and dogs! It was cancelled again. On Friday it was very very sunny so we had our Sports Day. The first race was the Bean Bag Shuttle. We had a drink and it made me feel sick. The next race was The Ball and Quoit Shuttle. Then it was the boys obstacle and Mark B. got eaten by the net! The girls lined up for their obstacle race. In the obstacle race, Michele H. fell off of the bench. Next it was The Sack Race. Raymond fell over again and again and he came last. We lined up for The Skipping Race. Anita came first, then your wondreful reporter, Sarah W. came second by a short nose. The Boys Sprint was next and no-one was injured. The Girls Sprint was next and they scampered along the track. The Team Games came next and one of our wonderful reporters nearly swallowed a ball!
