The Junior Production 1998: Rats! The Mayor hires the Pied Piper We did a play called Rats and I was a rat. We had to wear black with a mask. I was very scared because all the parents were watching us. My grandma was watching, and my mum, and when we went past them they blew kisses at me and my face burned up and I went red... Erhyn   It was well acted and I liked Paul playing the mayor. The mayor was a greedy character and he didn't care about his town. The funniest part was when the children dressed as rats and came through the middle of the audience. The special effects were okay but the rats' costumes weren't very good and they looked nothing like rats at all. The others had quite good costumes... Daniel   I was a rat. It was very hot in the school hall. All the parents came. Everybody wanted to hear the rats' main song at the end. On the first day I was nervous. It was very strange inside the mask. I felt very dizzy because I had to walk around the hall twice. My favourite bit was when the audience cheered at the end... Charlotte   On our first rehearsal I was very scared.
