I thought this was the best school trip I have ever been on. When they were singing some of them went round the track and were kicking the metal side of the barrier. There was a train from Japan and when he was racing he nearly went over the barrier head-first. I didn't like the prices of the ice-cream, because it was £2 for a cornet and £2 for the knickerbocker glory, but the cornet was quite big and I got the choc and nut. The worst bit about the trip was on the coach, because on the way back everyone started singing and I couldn't get a decent sleep. On the way there it was okay because I wasn't tired and the radio was on and no-one was singing.

It was a long journey down to the theatre, and it was very hot. When we got there, everybody was really excited. Some people bought the little or the big programmes. We went and sat down. Nobody took their eyes off the stage. In the racing people were saying who they wanted to win the heats. My favourite character was Rusty, and I also liked Jewel...

It was very exciting and active. The Apollo was red and gold. There was a very big gold light in the foyer. When we went into the theatre there were binoculars on the seats. Our teachers gave us a bag of sweets and a carton of orange juice. At the interval we had chocolate and ice-cream. I was amazed because people were skating almost right over our heads. I thought the people were really talented. I liked the end race, the final, because Rusty and Dustbin won. My favourite character was Rusty because he had a really good voice and was a really good skater...

I thought it was really, really good. On the way to the theatre Charlotte and I were waving out the window to see who would wave back. We waved to everyone, but no-one did. When we got there we bought programmes and went to the toilet. We saw the track all round. Then it started. My first thought was that it was very loud and very bright, but I soon got used to it. Some parts were quite sad, especially where they beat up Dusty and he was hurt. Greaseball the Elvis look-alike was also really good, but one of the Japanese skaters could do flips. My favourite song was 'Make up my heart' by Pearl. On the way back we gave up the idea of waving and started singing lots of songs. The play was really good and I would love to see it again...

It was really posh, there were lots of chandeliers. I thought the prices were dear. The people skating had a real talent. Their costumes were brilliant. In some bits it was funny. It was better than what I thought, I didn't think the skaters were going to go round the room. It was a really good musical but I didn't think there were going to be so many songs, there wasn't any speaking, they were all singing. When we got out the theatre it was really packed...

I thought the idea of having them skate behind us was good, and also the way they did the races. I'd give it 10/10. Being on skates improved it totally. Superb, absolutely superb...

My favourite part was when they were having their race and they were fighting and throwing people over the barrier. On the coach on the way back we were all singing and it was really good because it was dark...

When we were first told we were going to Starlight Express I thought it would be really boring, but it was a lot better than I expected. It was really clever the way they did all the tricks on the skates. At the beginning of the show I felt sorry for Rusty because everyone was horrible to him. When the show finished a man took his girlfriend onto the stage and proposed to her. The show was fantastic...

I liked it because there was a lot of action. I thought it was great. The stage was huge. I liked the bit where the skaters raced round you. The theatre was stunning, the lighting was good and the sound was loud and clear. The acting was excellent, they did all sorts of spectacular stunts. The music was performed by an orchestra under the stage...

When we got there, there were souvenirs. You could buy a programme for either £5 or £3. At the interval there was lots of food but I got an ice-cream. It was pretty expensive but it was nice...

I came back to school at 6pm. It took us about an hour to get there. I thought it was great and I really think you should go and see it. the characters were on roller skates and they were going really fast...

I came to the coach at 6.00 and we were going to go, but we had to wait for Robert. A minute later he came and we set off... At the start of the show we gave out the drinks and sweets. At the beginning, it was funny when the mother told the child to go to sleep. It was good when the Japanese train did a somersault while going up the slope...

Last night we went to see Starlight Express. I thought myself that it was absolutely brilliant. They skated really, really fast, which made it fantastic. When we had the break we all got up to get an ice-cream which were £2, but we all had a nice time...

I thought it was exciting and fun. My favourite part was when they were doing the races and they came to stand on the track. One of them started to say something to me, he was very funny. On our way back we saw a tree that lit up...

On the way to the theatre everyone started to sing '3 Lions'. It was really funny because they always end up singing about football. When we got there, there was a huge chandelier but it wasn't real. My overall thought was that this was the best trip so far and it was a nice way to end at Deanesfield. I would give this trip 9/10 because the ice-cream wasn't very nice...
